Best navagation tool/APP for RV'ers?

What navigation system/or APP have you guys found to be the best for RV'ers?

The Garmin we have does not show height or propane, etc, restrictions, so we need to get something to ensure we don't get ourselves in a bind somewhere.

Thank you.....

  • I wish there was a volume control much like on a radio. I know you can set the volume, but that's not the same.

  • Thanks @chiefneon for the app share! I haven't seen that app before. I'm going to check it out.
  • Howdy!

I've been using Co-Pilot gps app on my android smart phone and tablet for years as our go to gps. Works great and has never steered me wrong. It has a RV setting within the app your can set the height up to 13' propane restriction toad road restriction etc... No need for a data connection as you download the maps to your devise.

  • u ever think of the big trucks might go that way.then u can too.now its all happy- camping
  • Just got the Magellan Model RV9365T-LMB. Has all the items and easy to use you can include just certain fuel companies stations, dump stations and much more.
  • I too have a Garmin for my car. After extensive research, I even call Garmin, the best one I found that has height, width, propane restrictions and lifetime maps is the Rand McNally TripMaker® RVND™ 7710 (top of the line) 7715 or 7720. It is offered by Good Sam, Amazon and other places. Do a search for RV Gps.

I haven't found a single comprehensive App. to cover everything I want.

I use Allstays Camp & RV for dealers, propane and most overnights, I also use Gas Buddy for propane as well as the cheapest fuel price, DAT for fuel and truck stops and service plazas, iExit for general highway services.

FWIW I wouldn't worry too much about height, anything too low for a 5 ton or tractor-trailer will be VERY well marked with signs well in advance and a Class C is much lower than either of those.
