Bypass water heater?

Hey guys,

My water heater is leaking and getting my floor wet. I wanna drain it but is there anyway I can stop it from filling back up again so I can keep the water to the rest of the RV or do I need to unhook the water from the whole coach?

thanks

You could literally set your bypass as if you were winterizing. That would take it out of the circuit while allowing everything else to work.

the easiest and best way, assuming the RV has a WH bypass system.
    bumpy
  • Close water going into water heater
Close water coming out of water heater (if you have a valve)
    Open bypass valve
    Remove WH tank drain plug

Now if leak is from water heater tank......you should not having anymore leak on floor

Have you ID where leak is...split tank, loose/cracked fitting etc.?
