Cambria Hydraulic Leak

I have a 2010 Itasca Cambria 30C, and have a hydraulic leak at the pump for the HWH (I believe it is HWH) leveling system. It was installed at the factory and has never been touched. There is a puddle under the pump of maybe 1-2 teaspoons. It has never leaked before. The 2 mounting bolts for the pump have two red drops about to descend to the floor. There is no fluid around any of the connections to the pump, just fluid leaking from somewhere around the pump.

I decided to exercise the leveling system a couple times to see if anything squirted out, but nothing leaked. I then looked at the reservoir and it is at full or slightly over full when the system is retracted. The hydraulic level went up and down with the leveling system.

Do I have a problem, or is it possible there is an overflow that has finally relieved excess fluid put in at the factory?

Thanks for the follow up. Glad you found the problem and it was a minor one.

If anyone is interested, I found the problem. On the side of the hydraulic pump, there is a set screw inside of a jam nut that is part of the relief valve. Red fluid was coming from this item. The jam nut was not tight, so I tightened it. The set screw controls the relief for hydraulic pressure. I found this while doing an internet search (http://www.hwhcorp.com/ml47649.pdf). I ran the levelers 4-5 times, and no fluid leaked over several hours. It had apparently leaked from day one because oil was all around the area of the pump for a foot or two.

Also, the filler cap was basically loose and was easy to spin either way.

take some engine cleaner and clean the pump and reservoir. then run the system. check the manifold hose connections and the valves for leaks. it should be apparent where the leak is.

The level will go up and down when in use.

I made the mistake of over filling once. Had fluid on ground after that. Till all the excess fluid leveled off.

I would clean it real well and keep an eye on it.

Fluid has never been added. Sounds like you had a similar problem. I just can't understand why it all of a sudden started to leak.

I noticed a stainless steel band around the neck of the hyd. bottle. Just started thinking that maybe it needs to be tightened, but don't know yet if it has an adjustment (unit is stored miles from my house).
