Ceiling surface balooning when rear A/C has run a while

Not sure if this is a safety issue or not but, At times usually in the hot weather in the southwest and we have been running our rear A/C for a while, the ceiling fabric/material baloon's about 8-10 ft from the actual air conditioner. The dimensions are approx. 2-3 inches in depth by 18-24 inches in a 3/4 shape circle. I have been thinking that there may be a separation in the ducting to the outlet (which is near where the balooning is occuring). I do not know where I can get one of those cameras on a wire similar to like what the plumbers use. Then not sure how to access without tearing down the ceiling. Anybody had an experience like this?
My rig is a 2013 Georgetown by ForrestRiver.By the way, other than this the motorhome is in pristine condition.
  • Amazon has those camera look up endoscope camera, plumbers camera, i bought one last year that connects too my
android smart phone, Amazon also had the standalone models that mechanics and plumbers use, i got mine when i had water heater problems, it was the check valve on the back of a nearly inaccessible installation
  • How long is a while? Are you noticing ballooning after 5 minutes or 2 hours?

If the leak is slow and takes many minutes to even form if you can't figure it out you might want to wait until the bubble is just starting and poke a small hole in it.
  • Yeah, sounds like a leaking duct. Some have accessed the area through a nearby light or air register. If that's not an option you can cut a hole and install a new register to gain access. Leaks like that can severely affect your cooling.

Sounds like a hole in the air duct.. NO clue as to how to fix without tearing the ceiling apart.
