Maybe one of the moderators can explain why the title says that this forum is especially for Class A Motorhome travelers.

LOG wrote:I can't believe how narrow minded you are! As I said before I now have a 5er but have had 1 pop up, 1 B class, 2 A class. You would not like my help with anything because I do not own a A class dp. Did I mention I am a certified Class 8 mechanic as well as gas. I have worked on air bag systems since they were first installed on class 8 tractors. You have no idea what qualifications someone has in any field by what they own. Please do us a favor and stay on the Foretravel site.
For all the members that are somehow missed the point of my original post, please be assured that you do not have to block my post. I do not respond to questions that do not directly apply to Class A Motorhome. That is one of the main reasons I would like to know the type of RV that a member is asking about. And, for all of the members that have not owned a Class A DP, then you really have no clue about the systems that one has. Some electronics are the same, some furnaces are the same, some air conditioners may be the same. But the generators, air bags, inverters, leveling systems, slide outs, engines, and a host of other items are not the same. I also own a Winnebago Itasca Gas Class A Motorhome. There is no comparison between the two as far as the systems go. Travel Trailers and Fifth wheels have no engine or transmission. Most do not have a generator. For sure not a diesel generator. As I said, the title of this forum is Class A Motorhomes. There are forums for travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class C and B motorhomes. I do no read those forums because I feel I would not have much to share. I only belong to two forums, this one and the Foretravel forum. I read this forum to increase my knowledge of Class A Motorhomes. I have to say that I don't gain much knowledge. I belong to this forum because I like the what Good Sam Club has to offer.

For those members that would like to respond to this thread, without reading the entire thread, please be advised that I did not bring up the fact that I own a ten year old Foretravel. A member started the Foretravel discussion and it was to be sure a less than polite post.
I have no opinion on what type of motorhome someone owns or has owned.
I would also like to add that I now have a lot less respect for some members than I had when I made the first post.

Many, if not most people on this forum have owned many different types of RV's and their knowledge base is not limited to their current RV. Most that post on here also do their own maintenance on their coaches.

Actually, I am a gun owning conservative with ten years US Navy service with time served in Vietnam.
I have not posted much in the two years I have been a member, because unlike many on this forum, I only post when I think I can actually help the OP.To those that think that a ten year old Foretravel has outdated equipment. It only goes to support that some members simply know nothing about Class A Motorhomes.
And judging from the few posts you have posted all you seem to have to say is how a Foretravel is far better than any other MH that is owned by all other forum members. And that is contributing to the forum how?
and BTW, using the 'I served in the Navy card' isn't going to help you at this point with that attitude.
Please explain how the majority of your posts bragging and "CLAIMING" to know the facts that a Foretravel is better than ANY other MH is contributing or helping other forum members?
here's a few of your posts:
...A ten year old 36' Foretravel will cost about $135,000. The features on that ten year old Foretravel will equal almost any top of the line 2014 model of any size. The lessor quality new 36' models will not have anywhere near the equipment that was standard on a ten year old Foretravel 36'.
...For a comparison, go look at a fifteen year old Foretravel. Then go look at a five year old Forest River Georgetown. The difference in aging and quality should then be obvious. This comparison will show the value of a ten year old Foretravel to a new Georgetown.
...I may be wrong on this, if so please correct me. As far as I know, Foretravel is the only motorhome manufacturer that makes a 34 foot motorhome with air leveling, four wheel air disc brakes, Allison transmission retarder, eight outside air bag suspension, power hose and water reels and 400 hundred HP cummins engine. Compare these features to other manufactures. Most of the time their top of the line model will not have these features. And, they are available on a ten year old Foretravel for under $150,000.
...a fifteen year old Foretravel that will have better build quality than a new $100,000 Winnebago or Forest River.
...Our ten year old entry level Foretravel has more features than any brand new gas class A Motorhome
...considered a Foretravel? Someone just traded in their new 2014 American Coach Heritage on a new 2014 Foretravel. The Heritage had less than 4,000 miles. Just saying.
I'd certainly like to meet the owner who traded in a 2014 MH for another 2014 just to have a Foretravel.:R
