Reading between the lines of "CodyClassB" who joined in 12/23/13 and what you posted in January "I currently have a Winnie Minnie class C mobile home. I like it a lot but my wife always complains that the ride is rough and is not comfortable. She refuses to travel long distance. So we are thinking about upgrading to a class A . Our budget is around 80K . Would you please recommend a class A that is around $80,000 (new) and is comfortable to drive ? We are looking for something between 28 to 32 feet. thanks" .....it sounds like this will be your third rig in not that many years. You are wanting a slide in the rear so I'll repeat the advice I always give... "Buy more MH than you think you need... ONE TIME." My advice is to look at rigs bigger than 32' and save another step.
NO, I did not do it in one step and I started at 36'.
As is usually the case Ivy is dead on! IMHO 30 is too short (wheel Base ) not long enough to give you a GREAT ride. They stopped making the 28' GMC in, 79'? so take a couple of test rides, see what really fills the bill.
I have, as most have always bought larger - buying the rig I have now - the DW never complains about the ride or the amenities. The only thing is she still will ask if we are there yet, so some things never change.
