Good for you!
Safe travels,
Mark - Bill_S_1ExplorerMy neighbor, who RV'd for many years, gave RVing up after his wife passed away. Two or so years later, he met a woman who he really likes, and vice versa. After about 6 months, he decided to get another RV; a 37' Class A. He bought it from a dealer, and when he gave the dealer his DL to do a test drive, the guy couldn't believe what he was reading. My neighbor was 88 years old!
I also just read a thread on another RV forum the other day, where the forum member bought a new (Class A) rig from a dealer in N.C., and was disappointed with them since there were so many things that needed fixing, right off the bat. He mention in his post that he was 82 years old, and ready to hit the road.
So with good physical health, and a sharp mind, then yes, the age doesn't matter so much. - gboppExplorerMany people, as they get older, regret the things they didn't do more than the things they did.
Go for it, you'll love a MH. :) - Monty-RobExplorerGot a quote on a 2018 Tiffin Phaeton 40IH special order

PS in our 6th year of full timing - toedtoesExplorer IIIDoesn't matter what anyone else has done. It matters if you feel OK with it.
There are some folks out there who shouldn't be driving MHs at any age and there are those who are good with it.
Do you believe it's a good idea? And do the people closest to you agree? Then go for it.
If you or everyone else you know has serious thoughts about it, then talk to your doctor and/or take a driving session and see what the instructor thinks. Then make your decision.
I say that having seen some people refuse to accept that driving any vehicle isn't a good idea. It's not about the age, it's about the abilities. - tropical36Explorer

Thinking of buying first motorhome at 73...anyone here do anything crazy like that?
Not sure if I'm crazy or not, as most crazy's aren't aware of their condition, but bought our 3d one last year, at age 76.5, so now a year older.
Thing is, we'll never again be as young, as we are right now, which sounds better than being older, than we've ever been. - tropical36Explorer

I had an uncle in his late 90's who never accepted, being unable to drive safely anymore and couldn't even drive his golf cart all that well. Kid finally took the car away from him and he just passed away recently at 104. Nothing was really wrong with him, he just shut down one day and called it quits. Remembering back, I don't think he ever was all that good of a driver when I think about it. - GPWayneExplorerWhen I was a kid of 73 I was working full-time spoiling the grandkids and putting miles on the motorhome. Lots to see and do. Still at it almost ten years later.
Get out there and enjoy.
What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.....Works for me.
(I've been told, however bears will kill you. So I just take pictures and keep my distance) Trying to cut down on doing stupid stuff, but DW says I'm still at it. My grandsons ask me what will happen if we do this or that. I say, well let's try it. (We have a deal. I don't tell their Moms and they don't tell Grammy.)
You are never too young or too old to learn. - LwiddisExplorer IIWhy not? Planning on dying soon? Lost your interest in seeing our country?
