Dash Air Bag light stays on! Ford E450 2015

The dash Air Bag light comes on for a few seconds like it should when I start the engine and goes off. Then it comes back on and stays on. I checked all the connections under both seats and no wires are crimped in the seat track. Engine battery is 100% fully charged. Looks like I'm going to have to make a trip the to Ford Dealer. There are no trouble codes flashing on the dash Air Bag light also no check engine code from OBD scan. Any thoughts?
  • Tester came late today and I used it and found that the passenger seatbelt buckle pretensioner Deployment control was causing the error. Guess I'll make the DW sit in the back from now on!
  • I just went out and played the the driver's side seat belt retractor connections and the light went out. Tested it a few times and the light works as it should and goes out. I ordered a OBD ABS/SRS code scanner from Amazon this morning with FREE today delivery. I tried to cancel it but too late. May keep it anyway and check the codes to verify that's what it was.
  • If you shut the engine off and immediately restart it, does the light stay off ?

If yes, your battery is dying. The voltage is dropping below the threshold set in the airbag module, but not below the threshold in the engine module.
  • No switch for passenger side air bag. Could I have actually fixed the problem pushing in the connectors and the trouble code hasn't cleared from the module? My scangauge II shows no trouble codes but I hear I need a special one.
  • Does yours have the key switch to turn off the passenger side airbag. I had a bodyshop do some work on my Ford car and afterward the airbag light was on. They had to have a Ford tech come from the dealer to program something in the ECU.
Just saw your last post, I would think they could make you an appointment. The tech that did mine ran over from the dealership and had it done in under an hour.

Do you have swivel seats? Could one of the seatbelt wires been pulled out of its plug?

BTW - regular OBD readers won't read airbag or brake system codes. Gotta go to a dealer, or at least a shop with a good all-sytems scan tool. Your's is under warranty, so why no just visit Ford?

I removed and cleaned the battery terminals as the negative was getting corrosion. I wonder if that's going to affect the OBD readout at the dealer? No swivel seats. RV dealer did a lot of stuff under my dash when I had a side camera issue. Wonder if something came loose from the driver's steering wheel bag? Dealer only has 2 racks for large vehicles and said they had 6 motorhomes waiting to get on. Will be at least 2 weeks and has to be left there.
