Do you carry a ladder?

Hello everyone,

Do you carry a ladder with you, not speaking of the ladder that is attached to the moho? If yes which ladder do you own and what do you use it for?

Which one of these would you recommend from camping world?

Telescoping 6' Extension Ladder, converts from a 6 ft "A" from to 12 ft extension:

Or

12.5 Foot Telescoping Extension Ladder, 12.5 foot extension:

Thanks,

Stuart

No ladder.
I clean mine standing on the ground. I can clean the clearance lights if I stand on the bumper. Low profile coach.
And I thought of my Foretravel as a low profile coach, but with 10' 6" clearance, there is not way I can do the windshield standing on the ground. But it is still low profile compared to most.

My FMC is 9'6" to the highest point which is 2/3rds of the way back. The front is lower. The interior floor is 16" above ground level.

Yes this one. It folds small enough to fit inside a 4 1/2 x4 1/2 plastic fence post in the cellar of the MH. We bought the 7 footer. We also bought the red top for it.

We have the one from CW that folds up to 4" square and is 7' long/high.. I have a Werner 17'(7' step) like the Little Giant, at home, that I got at Walmart and if I didn't carry the CW ladder I would carry it.. Mike Mathews..
PS: I also carry a 4' step/stool for the shorter jobs, DW uses it too for inside cleaning..

As full-timers, we carry a folding aluminum ladder. We need it to wash/wax the upper part of the motorhome.

We carry a 7' aluminum step ladder in one of the pass through bins. It comes in very handy for cleaning things like pine sap off the windshield, changing the porch light bulb, etc.

I clean mine using a windshield brush/squeegee on an collapsible extension pole. I use it when stopping for gas.

6' folding hanging on the back built-in ladder.

The primary use is everyday I wash the windshield.

How do you guys clean your windshield if you don't have a ladder?
The squeegee thing leaves streaks on mine and it's actually easier for me to use rags.

Mine is all aluminum...not orange nor green. Besides I didn't pay $200,000 for my rig.

It doesn't add class but it gives it character.

Nothing adds class to a $200,000.00 MH than an orange Home Depot ladder hanging on the back ladder of a MH. Course the green ones are tacky....... ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, I use THIS one. It collapses and can be easily stored in one of the bays. I like that it's a two sided ladder instead of a single. I use it to wash the rig and cut off CG branches that the owner's didn't....it's also good for hanging clothes lines on the trees etc...:B..Dennis

Just a word of advice, I was a derrick man in an oil field and later a fireman. I have a lot of training and experience with the use of ladders.

I also have friends who have been seriously hurt while using their ladders.

It would be wise to learn how to use a ladder safely, and you should never use a ladder when you don't have someone around to help you if needed.
