Dometic brisk AC

Need to replace a 19 year old ac on the rear. Its ducted dual zone with a thermostat in the kitchen. WHen I got this new unit open (Dometic Brisk II) , noticed theres only one plug and cord on the new unit, the old unit has a much different hookup with phone cords and such. I assume theres more to this that I need to buy? any help is appreciated

The Cord on the new unit is just the 120 power cord to the Roof AC. THAT cord plugs into the control box that will be located in the AC opening above the lower access grill. Now, you do not state, what model AC you are replacing. If the old model was a Brisk Air, what I stated will be your model. The AC system when replacing, they only supply the Upper unit, no control box or Tstat. Just follow the OLD 6 wire power cord from the old AC and you will see where it plugs in. Doug

PS, If you have a old 600 series model number which will be a Lo Profile Penguin, let us know.

My old one is a lo profile penguin it looks like. Im taking the Brisk air back to get a Penguin II I think

  • I think you will find you need one of the new digital thermostats but I'm sure Old Doc. Biscuit will be along shortly to enlighten us.
