I wasn't sure if there would be a clearance issue between the tow bar and the bike rack and I didn't want to find out the hard way with a handle bar poking thru the rear cap. Preempted modification to a $50 eBay bike rack.

There's a couple of different styles on duel receivers that should work for what you want. The Roadmaster is pretty shout and would make a good boat anchor. Other's I've seen are a bit lighter on the second receiver and are intended to bike racks or other none towing applications. The other end of the tow bar is connected to a 98 Honda Accord which sits a bit lower than the coach hitch. If I ever decide to use my CRV as a dingy I'll probably dispense with the dual receiver and hang the bikes off the back of it.

thanks for info we plan to set cargo rack in top one for items used little like dump tank receiver on mh is high off the ground what i need to check now is tow bar mine lifts straight up and locks in position and then you drop to one side when not in use may just have to remove it when we are set up

Don't know how much storage you're talking or what your toad is, but we use a hitch haul on the toad with the wheel slot accessory for bikes.....HITCH HAUL Also have a bike rack bolted on the back of that, so we can haul four bikes or move just our two back there and have the rack for hauling something picked up along the way. Thing is, the bikes are on the toad and are always with us for instant use, unless left back at the campground on purpose.

The rear of our Wrangler is pretty much the same and the spare wheel spoke serves as a strapping place to keep the bikes or whatever from bouncing around. In fact one bike handle bar is against the spare tire. Only downfall with it all, is that the bikes or other high cargo must be removed for opening the rear gate. Still we can access it pretty good from inside the vehicle, if need be, while the bikes are still secured.

The Roadmaster pictured above has the largest load rating I have seen for these hitches. I also use this hitch for towing my toad (bottom receiver) and carrying a cargo platform (upper receiver). I can carry the cargo platform or my bike rack in the upper receiver without a problem.

I have never noticed any interference between the rack or platform and my toad. I actually have an older tow bar (Roadmaster Stowmaster 5000) with a ball socket, and have a ball hitch in the bottom receiver.

hey...this'll be great...up and outta the way...plus the tow bars can extend little more on car .thanx

You might run into a problem if the tow bar ever contacts the rack if the angle between the coach and dingy is high such as entering a gas station, shopping center and such. I shorten the tongue of the bike rack so it was not over top of the pivot point of the tow bar. Might be better to add a hitch to the dingy and install the rack on it.
