First of all, I'm not saying all Fleetwood products are not good. I had a brand new 2011 Discovery 40X and had a massive amount of problems. Engine and lots of electrical issues. Spent more time in the shop than on the road. Kept it six months and got rid of it. I hope you have better luck.

Cummins is not covering it, the extended warranty I purchased is. I am a believer in extended warranties. This is going to be a 20k plus repair. Biggest issue is waiting on engine from cummins. Coach going to be down for a while.

They pulled the oil pan and found the crankshaft broken in a few places. Do not know what could have caused it, but its likely a defective crankshaft. 22,000 miles should just be getting the Cummins broken in. Just out of 5 year engine warranty, but warranty company is going to cover it. So glad I purchased the coverage. Looks like I will have to wait on my new engine, 4 to 6 weeks from Cummins. Going to miss my July 4th trip.
Thanks for the info on towing coverage, I am going to purchase that ASAP.

After fixing this problem, next on your list should be getting Coachnet to ward off the towing problem if there is a next time.

Cummins had a recall on one of their engines related to failure of piston wrist pins (or something like that). Call them with your engine serial number and ask about recalls or service bulletins on your engine.
