Toad - Towed Vehicle Query
I will be a first time buyer in 15 days. I will be driving our 2004 Pace Arrow home to Iowa from Florida. I imagine this will be one of the few times we make a trek like this without a toad.
I think I have a good handle on tow bar options for four wheels down. I am having trouble coming to grips with what vehicle to pull. I have a very nice 1999 Buick Regal with low miles and it is my wife's favorite car. It clearly does not fit the mold, nor is it recommended as a good toad. It makes sense to get Saturn or similar vehicle but it won't be nearly the car as good a car as the one I have (and it's paid for). I do not want to consider a dolly.
Question: Am I fooling myself if I think modifications made to a car like this is worth the money, time and effort? Is it too much to spend on an older car that is in very good condition? Please share your thoughts and ideas.
