- stan909ExplorerThanks for the video. I'm going to have to watch it again because I made a drinking game using the words "blue velour" for the trigger to do a shot of tequila. Was pretty out of it by the end.I'm pulling your leg of course. She is really a beautiful rig. The former owners must have taken good care of her and it looks like she went to a good home. I think a fantastic fan would work good where the current vent is but take it to a professional rv place where they have lots of experience doing such things. You sure don't want a leak ruining your ceiling.
- gboppExplorerThat's a nice looking rig. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments brother. It was a one owner carfaxed certified rig, it was in storage for 5 years so I had to change the rear fuel pump and fuel selector valve cus the dirty gas destroyed those to parts. I love it and I always wanted one just like it. I paid 7300 for it when it had around 41k miles. They are impossible to find in this condition and miles and if you do you will be paying anywhere between 10k to 15k. I got lucky and did a lot of searching on craigslist until I found it.
Would you happen to know if its possible to install a fantastic fan on my van? Because It does not have any wiring for a roof fan. I wonder how the wiring would be done and how much it would cost. These older econolines didnt have the powerfan roof vent option like the roadtreks and coachhouses, I had a 97 coachouse and it had a factory built vent roof fan, so upgrading to a fantastic fan would be simple cus its already cut and wired, just changed the vent fan, its a different story on my coachmen. - Assyrian_ElvisExplorer II

Thanks man, thanks for commenting. - stan909ExplorerYou can take the power for the fantastic fan from a nearby light and have it run through the ceiling or run across ceiling and covered by conduit. If you don't want to cut hole bigger xyou can buy the powered version from Ventline that fits same hole. I think it only pulls air out but may be wrong.

Thanks for the info Stan. Im gonna check the ventline out. I wonder where is the cheapest place to get a fantastic fan installed and wired. When I had my 97 coachouse it already had a vent shaped just like the fantastic fan, in my case now id have to have the roof cut and wiring for the fan. not sure if its worth it, there is a guy on youtube named dan travels and he claims he can cool his van by just opening the fantastic fan adn cracking his windows. Ill check out the ventline website, I didnt even know who makes my vent? You saw it in the video. Question is if i get a fantastic fan will it need generator power of will it run of my auxillary battery? - stan909ExplorerFantastic fans are 12 volt like the lights inside your van.
- d0n1ExplorerI think I have the same ventline 7 inch round fan in my bathroom that you have in the roof in the living area. Yours should have a powered fan inside it right? You push UP on the big handle in the vent to open the vent and then turn the small round black switch to power the fan on... at least that's how mine works.
I can tell your coach has not a lot of use by the great condition of the interior and BLUE VELOUR seats.
Do you have a TV? Maybe you dont need one?
I don't think a fantastic fan will actually cool your van significantly in hot weather but it surely will suck outside air in and then exhaust it out through the roof.
NICE VAN - ENJOY! - d0n1ExplorerI just watched the 2nd video... It looks like it might be riding a little low? Maybe it's time to put some heavy duty Rancho 5000 shocks on it? They're about $45 each if you buy them yourself and then find a mechanic on craigslist who will install them for $25 each or so.
- Arizona_KidExplorerShocks keep tires on the road, they will not help a vehicle with sagging springs.
