How long do you stay in one place?

Most B campers are not full timers, so I'm posting this here (can only be wrong). As a B camper we generally move around a lot. Retired, but have family commitments at home, so time is still precious, but not restrictive. From the midwest we have traveled mostly throughout the south and as an example went to see St Augustine last year. Spent 4 days getting there, a night here, a night there, not in a hurry and enjoying the trip. Arrived at our destination and spent 3 days and 2 nights and got "happy feet" or the itch to be on the road again and see what's around the next bend. Headed up the coast to Savannah, and worked our way home from there. A 2-1/2 week extremely enjoyable trip.
My question is: Do other B owners, or campers in general, move about as often as we do? Or are we the odd duck out? What's your trip like? Do you seek a destination and spend a week or so, or meander about as we do?

Thanks

We use our PW Plateau as a second vehicle as it is economical and has lots of room for our large boxes and stuff for church/community projects. We usually go to a Vancouver Island RV resort(currently RippleRock in Campbell River,BC)--for a week to 10 days. Sometimes we just take off and stop at different provincial parks(dry camping) then followup at commercial rv resort(dumping tanks etc) and getting spoiled with tv etc. We didnt use our previous two C class rvs for more than one or two weeks max. We sometimes drive South(Stateside) to AZ or Palm Springs, using B Sprinter for travel and overnights and local transpo at rental condo. Or we leave it behind and use BMW for transpo thus no RV parks etc.
We do fine in our B unit for about two weeks. The key is being organized and having a similarly agreeable partner. Happy trails...

Maybe that way people posting with Class C's, 5th wheels, TT, etc. won't post to this thread.
Just a thought.

I had given that a thought, but prior to owning this B, a long time ago, we were tent campers, and even then we bopped about from site to site. So I wasn't sure if it was our DNA or just the fact that B's allow you the freedom to move at the drop of a hat. It is comforting to know that we are not the only ones with this desire to see what we can find next.

1-5 days max, never plugged in. If the neighbors or the scene starts to suck, Gone!

Have a large diesel for longer stays

We rarely stayed more than 2-3 days in our B and never more than 5 days in the 6 years (90,000 miles) that we owned it.

I noticed a person with a 5th wheel posting that they don't like to stay less the 2 days because it takes so long to setup camp. I think they need a class b.

In the summer when it is both of us we move every day until we get to a destination, unless we find a place we really like and then stay a couple days. East coast one summer we stayed 10 days on Cape Cod, this last summer a week down in the Keys. This summer the most we stayed in one place was 4 days in/near Yellowstone and on to the Pacific Coast. But last winter it was just me and I stayed in Florida 2 months, 1 month in the Everglades. So it varies and I really like being able to get on the road in 15 minutes and not really planning where I am going/knowing until I get there.

Anywhere from 1 to 5 nights. At rallies we will normally go 4 to 5. We broke our maximum 5 day stay last spring and stayed 3 whole weeks in South Padre Island. It wasn't intentional. Once we got down there chased by the polar vortex we watched weather reports and everywhere else even in Texas was miserable. So we stayed and enjoyed.

We traveled to Alaska and back two years ago covering 10,500 miles over 11 weeks. Our maximum stay was 5 days in one place.

We use ours to get to destinations quickly. She is always moving. We use her for naps en route. What a nice way to cover a lot of miles!

When we travel and not in a hurry to get somewhere, 2 nights is preferred. I don't enjoy setting up camp for just one night, and unless there is something worth sticking around for, after a couple of days, I'm ready to move on.

I travel a lot in my RT but don't stay in one place very often.

Even when I'm in a campground for a week or so, I'll change sites when the need arises. Ease of movement is one of the biggest advantages of a B.

In my recent week-long visit to Yellowstone NP, I stayed in 4 different campgrounds, giving me the opportunity to explore the entire wide-ranging park.

Of course, getting to the destinations takes a lot of driving and being in a different overnight spot every night. Again, one of the benefits of B ownership.

At a major national park like Rocky Mtn, Olympic, or Glacier, or a big city like NY or Washington DC, we usually stay 3 days. Otherwise, 1 or 2 days would be the norm. Two months is the longest trip we have ever taken.
