How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I'm new here, and curious.

How many of us in Class C own Dodge B300 incomplete
cab/chassis based RV's? I know two others- Steve aka
Ripsaw, with a 1977 Brougham, and Leroy aka 1978_Dodge
_Delta who owns a 440V8 powered sharp looking 1978
Delta RV. I would like to ask, and offer, help, idea
swapping and comparing notes on our particular RV's
which are based on the Dodge B300 van chassis.

Yeah, I know. These are low tech, podgy old RV's that
would be considered "entry level" for folks like me,
but I have a deep and abiding respect for the quality
of these old "monsters of the open road". And anyone
wanting to pick brains, joke about, share notes or just
brag about our old A- Dodge-io's are certainly welcome
to PM or email me. Between all of us we can form a real
good support group, and help each other with problems
we know we'll encounter with an older vehicle.

Sure. I'd love a new RV. But I'd rather have an older
one already paid for, and a lotta great memories. Call
me frugal, an old hippie, or whatever you will. I'm proud
of my old land yacht.

Mark aka White Knight

P.S. Mine's a '72. Is there an older one out there someone's
motorvating in? Maybe even a Travco? W/K

Leeann, Thank-you for the welcome!

I am looking forward to getting this green and white beast fixed up and on the road. May take some time, but she will be a good project for my son and myself.

I was given a 1976 Dodge Tioga Sportsmen. All the mechanics work just fine, runs like a dream. The interior needs a little help but this will be my next project.

I am not sure which engine it has, but I will soon find out when I take her in for an oil change.

This MH is perfect for my son and myself, someone told me it was ugly. I do not agree with them. It is white with green stripes.

I'm sorry, that's so much money. Figures your fridge was the cheap fix.

My god, that Travco is gorgeous.

Eye, it's all money wisely spent- or that's what I tell myself...
really it is... thanks for the pix of the Travco. I wish I could
afford to buy one that sharp...

Trish, I'll find one... but that one is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS...
if it had the intercooled 5.9l Cummins/A518 trans, that would
be just so surrealistic...

Sweet and sweet!

Ouch about the engine...but you're probably right: after spending all that money, it's good to have a warranty ๐Ÿ˜ž

Here's the pics of the new section of flooring. i extended it under the carpet and covered it so I should be able to continue where I left off when I get the chance to pull the rest of the carpet.

The pics aren't the best as they were just with my cell phone camera. but they should be good enough to get the idea.

This is the peel and stick Allure flooring from Home Depot. Waterproof, trim to fit with scissors or x-acto... I like it.

Also... while I was transferring photos from the cell phone, Here's that Travco I mentioned earlier.

Lastly... we got the motor pulled... boy do they wedge THOSE things in there. We decided to send it off to be completely rebuilt. After pricing out the parts (reconditioned crank killed us) the difference seemed worth a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, having someone else spend the time on it, and having it COMPLETELY gone through... new pistons, rings, valves, etc. Now I just need to come up with the money. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Yep, usually moisture issues. Clean/wire brush each bulb base (ours were rusty from excessive moisture) then apply the dielectric grease - that's worked for us for almost 3 years now.
