How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I'm new here, and curious.

How many of us in Class C own Dodge B300 incomplete
cab/chassis based RV's? I know two others- Steve aka
Ripsaw, with a 1977 Brougham, and Leroy aka 1978_Dodge
_Delta who owns a 440V8 powered sharp looking 1978
Delta RV. I would like to ask, and offer, help, idea
swapping and comparing notes on our particular RV's
which are based on the Dodge B300 van chassis.

Yeah, I know. These are low tech, podgy old RV's that
would be considered "entry level" for folks like me,
but I have a deep and abiding respect for the quality
of these old "monsters of the open road". And anyone
wanting to pick brains, joke about, share notes or just
brag about our old A- Dodge-io's are certainly welcome
to PM or email me. Between all of us we can form a real
good support group, and help each other with problems
we know we'll encounter with an older vehicle.

Sure. I'd love a new RV. But I'd rather have an older
one already paid for, and a lotta great memories. Call
me frugal, an old hippie, or whatever you will. I'm proud
of my old land yacht.

I have another question..That vent that is above the cab over bunk, I need the vent part not the whole thing. The frame is in good shape and has the hinges still attached.

Where can I buy just the vent?

I went out and started the engine, she starts right up, I let her run for a few minutes and when I turned her off the 12 volt lights stayed on..So, I may not have to replace the coach battery just yet. Although when I take her out on her maiden voyage I would like to have new batteries. It is so nice to be able to start the engine and have it charge the coach battery.

I come inside for a few minutes and I find myself going back outside just to sit in her.

Sure - it's Krylon Fusion or Rustoleum Paint for Plastic (sorry, I wasn't so clear). They both work really well, just follow the instructions for cleaning on the can.

I've never painted roll-up doors. Are they 'wood' or plastic? If they're plastic, you can use the Krylon or Rustoleum Fusion/Paint for Plastic - stuff works really well.

The roll up doors may be a 'fake' wood..So more than likely a plastic material..To be on the safe side I will probably use the Rustoleum fusion paint..

I've never painted roll-up doors. Are they 'wood' or plastic? If they're plastic, you can use the Krylon or Rustoleum Fusion/Paint for Plastic - stuff works really well.

I have one question..On the cabinets above the stove the doors are a roll up type..Can they be painted or should I leave them as they are?

By all means, do the floor. You wont' believe how much it alters the interior.
Leeann's floor is fabulous. Mine's laminate, too, freebie-laminate.
Eyeteeth has the type of flooring I really wanted, but wasn't willing to pay that much to get.

Your interior's pretty good. Ok, really good and, best of all, all there.

I don't know where Eric (79powerwagon) is lurking, but when he shows up, don't let him try to talk you into red wheels.

WOW..Okay I will do the vinyl peel and stick laminate!! That looks great!!

Cream colored cabinets and walls. I really want to lighten it up in there. The dark wood makes it look so small inside.

I say compromise. 🙂 I put the vinyl peel and stick laminate look a like in mine. Small sections, easy to work with, water proof, trim to fit with an x-acto blade and scissors.

We put laminate flooring in ours - and we LOVE it.

Cream sounds good to me.

Oh, I did a little cleaning on the exterior and it is not white after all. It is a light cream color, which is rather nice. So when I redo the interior I will use the greens and the cream color on the walls..Or I may just use the cream color and not the green..I am still thinking about the color scheme.

I also plan on painting the interior to lighten it up and make it look more modern.
