Jayco Weekender Class B

Trying to get in touch with others familiar with the Jayco Weekender series from the Mid 90's, in particular the electrical systems. I recently purchased a used 1997 Jayco Dodge Weekender. Most of the major systems (fridge, AC, Toilet, Microwave) work, but I have ongoing questions about other things. Since these units are not fully self contained, I can't assume they work like many other RV's.

For example, does the house battery charge when plugged into 110v or just when driving or running the engine? Also there is a console of 4 switches above the center of the front seats that I can't figure out. There are also fluorescent tube lights down the center of the van. Are these 12v or 110v? I can't seem to get them to work.

Thanks. Hoping to make this an open forum on the Weekender series as there does appear to be a few out there yet.

I have a 1995 GMC Jayco Weekender. The house battery will charge when plugged into a 110v outlet. The van (my Van) has a converted/charger installed in the space below the towel drawers under the fridge. When plugged into 110v outlet, the converter/charger supplies power to all 12vdc outlets and your 110v outlets and Micro and Princess Stove. While driving, the alternator supplies a small current to the house battery to maintain a charge. When the vehicle is not running, a battery disconnect switch (installed in the engine compartment) prevents the inverter/charger from applying a voltage to your vehicle battery. The four switches located on the overhead console controls the lights in the cabin including the light over the sink, the mood lights, the overhead fluorescent and the light at the rear door. All the fluorescent tubes are 12vdc. You can find an owners manual for the 2000 Weekender at Cunninghamcampers.com (look under the Manuals tab)

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did contact Jayco Customer service and they said "they had no info available for these units" I do have the manual, but it is very brief and basic and touches on some of the majors, but not specifics. The manual does reference a separate wiring diagram, which I do not have, that is why I contacted them (also, I thought they might have someone who worked on them available who would have additional input). The previous owners haven't been able to help much, so I am reaching out here.
