We just bought a 2003 American Dream 40W motor home. This is our first motor home and we are very excited. Can't wait to bring it home next week. Does anyone have any experience with this rig? Good or bad.

We owned the sister coach, a '03 Tradition 40w. Bought it with 40,000 miles and added 75000 miles in four years. Except for a water pump and some new steer tires and normal diesel maintenance, that coach was flawless!!!

Use it and enjoy it, they are awesome motorhomes!!

We owned a 1995 American Dream for 8 years. It was one of the best coaches we have ever owned. Never had a problem with anything including ball joints.
It was a very good quality coach. The only reason we sold it was because it was time to move up to a multiple slide motorhome.

Thanks for the encouraging replies. I had heard about the ball joint issues with the Spartin chassis. I looked them over on this coach and the boots looked like new.:B

Awesome! Have a ton of fun with it! See you out there!
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

That should be a very good coach. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2003 Tradition 40W. It was well put together and tight going down the road. Ours had the walnut interior. One thing to check on will be on the Spartan chassis, there was some balljoint boot problems in those years. We had to have our balljoints replaced because of that, as did many others. There should be threads on here or in the Fleetwood/American area of IRV2.com describing the problem. I found that American customer service, advise and parts was second to none that I had ever dealt with. Enjoy your coach and travels. Happy Trails Bert
