Kelly Tires

I am looking for any feedback on kelly tires

I have decided to switch from 295/80/22.5/H to 11R/22.5/H on drive and tag axle. My dealer says Kelly tires are good and at $365 for a 11R/H it is worth looking into.

Any RVers running them?
Your experience?

thanks
jim
  • I'm running 245/70R19.5 Kelly KSR under a Ford F53 chassis with no problems after 18,000 miles and just starting year 3. From my observations they pick up about 10-15 PSI while on the road and will generally run 10-20 degrees warmer than ambient air temp. Unable to make a comparison since these are the only tires I had on the coach. I'm happy with them and the price was within my budget.

Kelly has been a sub of Goodyear for a long time and in general terms Kelly tires benefit from the Goodyear R&D efforts. I compare it to buying store brand canned food over name brand. Same stuff inside, probably same production line just a different label.
  • I didn't know Kelly tire was sub of Goodyear. Kelly is one of only a rew bands that hold up on WY gravel roads. I was happy with them on my PU. I bought Kelly tires to replace y Michelin tires when they had less than 10,000 miles. I was getting a couple of flats a week with Michelins. Stone bruises. Every time I went into the store they say oh running over more arrow heads. Never had a flat with the Kelly tires. They used the Kelly tires in the oil fields in WY in 2000. Don't know what they use now. Kelly tires have been hard to find up here recently. My 08 PU has Goodyear & at 45,000 miles I haven't had a stone bruise flat on gravel roads. JMHO
  • They've been around a long time. I used to by their retreads when I was a kid..mostly because that's all I could afford...but..

Here's some info on the company....

  • I was coming out of a casino yesterday and was walking past some busses that had just brought in customers for the casino's. Anyways I happen to look at the tires on the tour busses and that one bus had Kelly tires. So if they are good for those big VanHool busses, I guess they would be good for your coach.
