Just beware of all the Sprinter problems before you buy. Do your research. I just had to spend 2K on my sprinter because of "dirty DPF". Having owned a Sprinter and having many problems and EXPENSIVE service issues, along with poor reliability, last month I bought a 2014 Ford based E350 gas guzzler. I'm more interested in reliability over saving fuel.
Ya I get that the next 10 posters will say " I LOVE MY SPRINTER I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM" ...well I was one of those "Sprinter lovers" till the repair bills topped 10K on my Sprinter, while at the same time I never spent a dime on my Ford F250 bought at the same time.

Thanks Jim. Those rigs are nice. I climbed through one in Bend Oregon and was fascinated. I really would like the 4x4 for the extra ground clearance. I enjoy going down Forest Service roads and staying in dispersed camping areas. I fear I may catch some of the bits underneath on rough roads. I will try and avoid going into areas that I actually need to engage the 4WD.

I know the ERA is not top of the line, but I like the layout and they seem like a good value.

Bud, if you're ever near Columbia SC, the Tiger factory is about 5 miles off I-26. Yep, the CX & TX can be 4x4, any 'Big 3' 1 ton pickup, any drivetrain, any cab length. Not a B, but a very small C.

YES you are Jim, but you failed to mention that The Application is 4-wheel drive.

I like your logic. I think I can get a used 2013 for $65k-$70K. I missed a couple of deals when I was working and could not travel. I have emails from a dealer in Iowa that said they could sell a 2015 4 cylinder for the mid $80's.

I am not looking or my dream machine, I just don't want to lose too much when I go to get my dream machine in a couple of years. (4x4 or Transit)

If you're thinking about price then find a new one and ask for 25% off. Odds are they will take the deal and probably for the same price as a used 2013 you may find. Worst thing is they say no. Then try another dealer.

2013 was the first year of the 170A. I like the layout. My preference might be the new Ford Transit or the 4x4 Sprinter but I just retired and need an RV now to start my adventure. I am planning on learning from this unit and then migrate to the next great thing.
