looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

I'd like to make contact with others who own one of the new (2004, 2005) Pace Arrows so we can share experiences, problems, good things, etc.

Seems to me you could use a piece of PVC pipe? Sounds like it's serving somewhat of a "bushing" function?
I'll check my 36D when I get outside later and see if I can take a look at what you're having trouble with.

I have an '05 Pace Arrow 36D with the full wall slide, which has a support roller mounted in the middle of the 23' long topper. Twice now the push on nut which holds the 5 &1/4" long roller tube on to a steel rod has fallen off and now I have lost the roller tube part. The roller is about 3/4" in diameter.
I have searched for this part to no avail. Has anyone found a part number and source to buy this part? I was wondering also if perhaps there is a simple substitute item I could slip on the steel rod to accomplish the same result.

I agree with it being the shear pin along the drive motor on one side or other.

Is one side tending to come in first? With the slide out, climb under and look at the drive shaft that retracts the slide (long square tube attached to drive motor usually with a quick release pin), make sure your bolts at both ends of the shaft are still there and tight. Mine sheared one end off so that end would spin (occasionally grabbing on the sheared part of the bolt that stayed inside the pin). Tell tale sign for me that something was happening was one side would start to move before the other.

Trim work around the slide-out intact, not dragging.

Also isn't there some glide strips along the side of the slide-out that slide between the body and slide-out? Something else to check

I stop it for a second, then continue to retract. So far OK, but the noise is troublesome. Any ideas?

Rich, or anyone... do you have a link or part numbers for the plug/wire/engine cooling system? I remember seeing the Workhorse part numbers somewhere, but have searched the forums ands web and can't seem to find them. I was turned down for the work, and would still like to have it done. Thanks.

I had the Banks power pack (full system) installed about 4 years ago and the moment I drove out of Camping World I felt a tremendous increase in power and torque on hills. I had to install the ram air flow system for supplying cooling air to the engine because my plugs burned down and the wires cooked which dropped performance, but since installing the cooling system I haven't seen any decrease in performance. I can't say I've seen any increase in mpg, but I push pretty hard (65 to 70 towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee), but the increase in performance is worth every penny.

They were confused too, and sent me one one of their "Red" ECM's pre programmed. I swapped it out, and first thing that happened was one of the pins wasn't perfectly straight and got bent internally when I attached the connector and caused a short. The cables to the ECM are real short and you have to reach back and do them pretty much by feel. From there I ended up with a tow to Workhorse for repairs. I put back in the stock ECM, they sent me a programmer box (I paid for it) and we tried everything for about 9 months. I had a lot of time off for about a year and did a lot of driving. I'm not saying it won't work, simply didn't for me. They tried and stood behind it. In the end though I couldn't get it to do what was advertised and what I had read from other users. I would never say it couldn't work for someone else, I just thing people alter their driving behavior after doing it and see a difference. When I bought my Prius at first I was so focused on mpg I was getting almost 50 mpg. 2 years later back to normal driving behavior I get 45, right where the car is rated. I could get 50 again without modifications. I'm now a believer of the Emporer's New Clothes theory and if it's too good to be true....ah heck, let's all just try Hydrogen Boosters. Everyone on the Internet says they swear by them. I saw some you can make from strawberry jars!

When Camping World runs their next free install on Banks Systems, I'm going to be real tempted. That system seems to make sense. Doesn't promise mpg UNLESS you change driving habits, but will give more HP. With more HP you CAN change driving habits. This I've done to my motorcycles in the past, and raising HP can give better mpg, IF you don't get on the gas and enjoy it!

Thats really odd, they told me if they had issues with the 'brain' they could even have that changed out.

Question on tire changes... has Michelin XRV 235/80 22.5. Some say replacement is 255/70R 22.5 but 2 tire dealers told me nope, it's 245/75 22.5

Any ideas???
