Maintenance Completed on the BUS!

My friend (a semi retired diesel mechanic) just finished a complete go through of our new to us 1999 Allegro. Some of those filter prices are difficult to swallow, but all said and done the bill could have been much worse. He flushed the cooling system, dropped the transmission pan and changed all filters, serviced all filters on the 8.3 including the air intake and the air dryer systems. Also tightened all chassis bolts as needed, greased, adjusted air brakes, inspected brakes and gave a clean bill of health.

Thank you for all of the kind words and advise. Next time I will check around for pricing, however, this time I did not want to be pretentious toward my friend as he said that he wanted to procure all parts utilizing the serial numbers. He even saved all of the old stuff including transmission and engine oil to show me what it all looked like. Now that it's all been brought up to snuff regular maintenance should be easy enough.

Next time you need filters try on line at the "Filter Barn".
X-2, and I get a substantial discount at my local truck supply house. There is not a large markup on filters for the local parts houses to discount them. But FilterBarn sells enough of them that they can offer great discounts. i only know one place that can beat their prices, and that place only sells to governments.

Midnight Filter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :B

Nice bus and it is good to have all that work behind you before you hit the road.
