Shop around. That price is higher than what we have on our 2013 Class C (in our signature). Our deductible is $500 I believe. And ours is for a year, not 6 months. Yes, the amount you quoted is more than what we pay for an entire year.

Look at the policy details. Are you trying to insure something for which you might carry the risk yourself? Small deductibles? Do you have mileage estimates right?
Comprehensive risks tend to mean high premiums on that coverage for vehicles that spend a lot of time in storage.
Claims history means a lot more than driving record.
Changing the deductible from $250 to $500 only dropped it to $468. I have the paperwork from the insurance agent with all the details.
I do not believe I have ever filed a claim with my insurance agent before.

Get quotes from other companies. My insurance company doesn't specialize in RV's, so they quoted me $700 every 6 months. I found it for less than half that through another company.
