No air coming out dash vents

2006 Holiday Ambassador pusher. Can get airflow on defrost and heat but not through dash vents. Any ideas??? Also even on recirculate cool air got warmer at highway speed. Much outside hot air must be getting in even on the MAX COOL setting.

Thank-you Wolfe10. I did just that. Stole power from the fog light switch, which I have NEVER used. Did not have to run a ground wire since that wire WAS grounded. I wanted to be able to turn off the pump if necessary, but somehow, it turns itself off very quickly. I now have full flow out of the dash vents! I juiced the Freon 134 with a do-it-yourself kit from the parts house, about 16 oz, out of the 40 or so it starts with, and it is COLD! Thank-you Wolfe10 and all of you guys that chipped in. Anybody need a new 12 volt vacuum pump for $25???

The fuse and hot wire should come off a "ignition hot" location. Said another way, it should only be powered with the ignition on.

BTW, make sure you tested for power with the ignition ON!

Well. Here I am again...There is NO Red high pressure air line. Vacuum Pump is the Ford electric pump with two wires to it. The part is foamed in place--that is, it is OE! My manual is WRONG!
BUT, NO POWER to pump. I have ordered another one (Dorman) off of Ebay, BUT the original one DOES RUN off a 12 Volt power supply! The fuse for HVAC was GOOD. So if I cannot find out why no power to pump, I guess I'll just run another hot line to it. CRAZY! I do not know if the vacuum pump is supposed to run whenever the key is on or just when the HVAC is not switched OFF.

Install an electric pump and the air compressor won't run/pump as often and may increase your fuel mileage.

Found a pic on iRV2. Just like mine--electric. BUT...mine is foamed in place on the firewall, in the genny compartment so NO wires are showing. Think I'll look for a fuse next. Hit it with a hammer but no dice.

Oops. Wrong again. Vacuum pump IS air powered according to my manual. Red hose brings air from the front air tank. Next step. Trace hose from air supply to pump.

WOW! Quick response! Funny, I had never noticed that the buzzing noise the pump makes has been GONE for a while! OK. Dumb question 2. Where is it? I guess somewhere under the dash. Is it 12volt operated? Thanks again! And I'll also check to see if hot water is getting to the heater core.

The doors that direct the air from the heat/cool box are vacuum operated. Sounds like a line has come loose. Maybe with key on and operate the controls you can hear the leak....OR time to crawl under the dash and just check those lines. It could also be on the other end at the air box which may be accessible from the gen slideout area, depends on how Monaco put yours together.

Temperature of air coming out and where is coming out may be two unrelated things.

Your dash HVAC system is "powered" by an electric vacuum pump. Start by verifying that the pump is running when the ignition is on. Then verify that all vacuum lines are in good condition and in place.

The hot air may be from the dash HVAC heater core-- it could be that the water valve is not completely closing. You can fix or for summer use just put an inline ball valve.
