I have a problem for you to help me solve. When I run the generator or un plug from shore power I sometimes have no available battery power to the coach. It as if the battery dis connect switch is on.

Having 12v part time is not the 12v on/off switch unless there is a wire loose. Do you have 12v all the time, when on shore power? Do you have 120v when running genny? May be your ATS. If ATS is working, then this sounds like an intermittent relay or auto resetting cb at the batteries. The 12v systems should act the same on genny as it does on shore power.

Check the battery voltage with a volt meter, A fully charged battery should read 12.6 volts with the shore power unhooked and the generator OFF. Then plug in the shore power or start the gen set. Take another volt reading and if the convertor is working the reading should be 13.6 volts. If you don't get 13.6 volts your convertor is at fault and needs troubleshooting. Report your results and we can help you more from there.

Had the same thing happen to me about a month ago - and my TT is 3 months old. Turned out it was a 20 amp fuse that was blown. Not inside the trailer, but rather in the cabling that leads from the battery to the trailer. The fuses (2) are inline in the cables inside of little rubber holders - about 6 inches from the battery. Fuse replaced, problem solved. Maybe this is your issue?

Check battery disconn. Switch. Make sure it is on.

Gen. And shore power only work on 110 outlets. Unless conn. To an inverter.

How old are your batteries? They may not hold a charge anymore. If they are not that old, then your charging circuit may be compromised. Start simple and work your way up from there. Check the status of the batteries, and make sure the convertor is on and a breaker isn't tripped or a fuse isn't blown.

Is it? Press the reset on the inverter, maybe it tripped. Has any GFI receptacles tripped? Transfer switch?
