Overhead Front TV

Just wondering how to remove the overhead front TV in a 2007 Hurricane 31H class A motorhome. Want to switch it out for a led model. I think it is on a crank up cable system but am not sure. Hoping someone out there has done the change out and can steer me in the right direction. Thanks

Changed out the TV on my 06 Hurricane and wasn't very difficult. The winch makes removal pretty easy. As Jim stated pop the four button covers off so you can get to the screws holding the padded bottom cover off. There are additional screws that will be uncovered to get the entire bottom frame off. With the framing off you can get to the hardware that holds the TV in place so remove those. Unplug power and disconnect the cable RF input and start cranking the winch thru the hole in the passenger side overhead compartment. Once down you can remove the TV from the winch and start working on a mount for the replacement.

Also save the winch. If you ever intend to carry a unmounted spare tire behind the gas tank between the frame the winch should work to hold the tire in place.

First remove the bottom from the tv cabinet. There are four screws under plastic snap caps holding it on. There are several screws holding the tv to the metal chassis in the cabinet that need to be removed. After the tv is loose in the chassis you can winch in down using a socket and extension through the access hole in the top left of the passenger side overhead compartment.
