Picking up our new (used) Van next week

Our first RV was a tiny class C called a Dolphin and I had so much fun in it and we went everywhere. But it died a classic death of old age. Then we decided to move up to a Class A. I loved the room, but didn't like driving it, and not having a drivers side door bothered me, so we traded it in on a 30 foot Class C, Tioga which we had for about 10 years. It served us well, but the older we get, the less we wanted to maneuver that thing into narrow sites, down lonely back roads, while dumping $$$$ into the gas tank. So now we are trying a van and like tiny house living, we know there is going to be some adjustments to make. (When we emptied the Class C, we took out bags of "stuff" and bags of stuff will not fit in the van.)
So not having the B home yet, questions that are coming up are: Should we get a solar panel? Will a solar panel fit? Where will we put the lawn chairs? What about an extra heater as we plan to also dry camp? What do I need to think about, that I'm not even considering. What are some of your issues and how did you solve them.
As always, this forum has taught me so much, and now I need help with downsizing.

I have a B. I bought a Renogy solar suitcase for it in April. ($250 - Amazon). I store it strapped to the back of the passenger seat when traveling. I like the portability because it means I can park in the shade, and place the panels in the sun.

Aside from exercising the generator, I don't recall the last time I used it to power appliances.

I see a lot of B's with substantial cargo racks on the back. They slide into the hitch receiver. Just make sure the hitch receiver is sturdy enough to hold what you want to put in it.

Maybe it might help to know what rig you have. If you have a rear ladder a bike rack might be a good way to carry lawn chairs as well as bikes. I got mine @ CW, it's like an L shape and fastens to the ladder and is easily removeable. I carry 1 bike and 1 large lounge chair.
