I ordered the blue ox bulb and socket wiring kit for my toad. Looks like it does not come with a pigtail to attach to the 4 pin connector to the MH. Anyone have this and make or order one?

Effy,

I used diodes and such to reuse the lights rather than drilling in new. Also used a 6 pin round rather than a 4 pin flat connector. The Blue Ox base plate had thread studs for the connector that worked out pretty well.

The fifth pin I connected to +12VDC that feeds an wireless video feed off a licance plate camera on the CRV that I can view from the coach. Sixth pin I didn't use.

My little project cost escallated a bit by the time I finished.

You cab buy those sockets from Advance for about 4.00 ea. And buy that wire to wire a utility trailer about 7.00. Lot cheaper than Blue ox. Than just get the small, I think 7 pin to mount to the base plate. Than make the short jumper to go from the base plate to MH. My motor home came with a 6 ft jumper, but you can make one up, to fit the socket at base plate and back of MH. And when wiring the sockets, would sorder and use heat shrink, with diaelectric grease in it.

Miss read your post!
I purchased a five foot extension for my four flat. The harness from Blue Ox would in your case stop at the grill, then the five foot harness would be the umbilical between toad and MH.

You can wire your own 4-Flat pigtail that you could pick up at any auto parts store.

OR

I purchased the Blue Ox coiled wire that had a 7-way on one end and a 6-way on the other. That came with the female receptacle that mounted right to my Blue Ox baseplate. I use 1 of the extra wires for a battery charge wire because, in my application, I needed one. However, they also sell a 7-way to 4-way that comes with the socket too. The nice part is, there's no wire to have to tuck into the grill or anything when you're not towing.

That is what the small blue wire crimp splices are for.
Just a note: I tried to install separate lamps in my rig. I could not do it because the taillight assemblies were double thickness. Would have to have drilled outside larger then the overall lamp assembly, then drill the interior wall to accept the light socket assembly.
