Prevent wasp nests?

When we bought our '87 Falcon last Fall, it hadn't been used for 7 years, and it was FULL of wasps and nests. I cleaned them out, and have plugged a lot of openings, but I think they'll still get in the air conditioner, exhaust fan, etc. Is there a way to keep wasps out of these openings?

The only SURE way to keep wasps out is to screen the openings with a screen fine enough they can't enter. You can spend a lot of money buying pre made screens or simply go to Home Depot, Lowes, Menards etc. and pick put the size screen you need and make your own for next to nothing.

A dog collar and bay leaf - Who would have thought! We live in the country and have a lot of wasps, so I'll try both of these ideas. Will let you know in a month or so if it works!

I was told to put 1/2 of a dog flea collar and a bay leaf in the areas where wasp may build a nest. I have not had a problem with the wasp so I haven't tried it. Let us know what works for you.

Activity and using your B will discourage wasp nests. 7 years of inactivity and crevices are going to be an attraction. You'll probably not have to do anything special once you get active.

Camco has screens for a lot of furnace, refrigerator, and water heater models. Not sure about A/Cs.
