So i was on craigslist and now i own it but not sure how much i should put into it to stay realistic. It has cummins 12v with 72k onan 7k generator with 372 hrs on it will need some roof repairs new awning complete has some delamination has two a/c units newer frig. and new flooring. Will need tires has 19.5 on it.Also has a Pacbrake tv missing.. I can do most of the work myself. Always wanted diesel pusher and this could be the way to find out if i am not over my head !! So if i put 5k in it will i be ahead or behind the game?

After roof, replace all fluids, trans, coolant , oil and all filters.
Get the right antifreeze with SCA added as the Cummins 12 valve has piston liners and correct coolant is a must. Next replace all belts and inspect all hoses carefully replace if needed. Grease chassis and shocks are surely shot. The inside looks to be in good condition so you can do as little or as much as you wish after initial cleaning. Buff the exterior and enjoy.

Post photos with progress.

Congratulations.

Well you have a solid drive train that isn't broke in yet. As others have said takel the roof first. Having a motorhome is not an investment you should never plan on payback or making money but in your case you might Did a quick serch and found one for $38,500 and another for $17,500.I don't think you can get hurt.

You done good on your deal. You did not even pay for the diesel engine. Roof repairs for sure to stop the leaks.

The amount you spend should be determined by what you plan to do with it. If you only plan to do somewhat local trips on the weekends and short vacations, than I would not spend too much. Emergency road service is a must.
If you are thinking of extended cross country trips than you will have to spend a lot of money to insure reliability.
Roof sealing and tires are two of the most important items. A clean mattress is important as are appliances that function properly.
It might not be a bad idea to have the propane items all checked for proper operation and for leaks.
Naturally you want the water system to work without leaks and the waste tanks to free of leaks.
The TV and many other items are creature comfort items that you may or may not deem necessary.
I would doubt that you will be able to recoup much if anything that you put in to this coach. If you do get a lot of use out of it, just consider anything you get as gravy. We spent almost twice that amount on a trip to South America and we recouped ZERO and it was worth every penny. :B

Looks good for $4k! I agree that the first thing to do is get into the roof leak to see the severity of it. Then you can take it from there. I think you'll be fine though.

Good luck!

That was a great deal for sure! If that is the vinyl ceiling with the from backing. I would replace it all with a carpet ceiling. I had replaced mine took out the cabinets then put new thin wood panels up then the rv carpet. on the edge of the walls use corner molding. Is way if it ever leaks again the most you will have to do is shampoo the stain out. once that from backing of the other gets wet its don't for. and hold mildew..

It looks pretty good for only $4k. The first thing I would do is fix the roof before it does anymore damage. I would do that before I spent money on tires just in case the damage is more that what shows and is more than you want to deal with. It looks like you should be able to get a lot of use out of it.
Best of luck to you, enjoy!
