Does it have any lights on panel?
Does it have 120V AC Power
Does it have 12V DC power - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWas it working and just stopped? Or was it sitting for a period of time unused?
- DrewEExplorer IIIf it has electronic controls with little lights and such (which is true for virtually all modern units), being completely dead (as in no lights and no responses to turning on and off) most commonly is caused by the fridge not receiving 12V power. This could be because the battery disconnect switch is turned off, or because a DC fuse is blown in the power distribution center or in the fridge itself, or due to some broken wire or bad connection.
There are other possible causes, such as bad fridge control boards, loose connections to the control panel, etc., but checking for 12V power is the first step to check.
If it's an old one where you have to manually light it (possibly with a front-panel sparker button similar to a gas grill), 12V power is probably not required.
If it looks like it's working but doesn't actually get cold, that's an entirely different set of issues. - donn0128Explorer IIRead post 4 then answer the questions please!
