I going tomorrow to buy (if all checks) out
a 2008 Roadtrek 170 from Camping world. I was just informed that it has a gps. I saw the screen on the pictures, but at the time it was thought it was only a touch screen radio.

Does the GPS come with a backup camera or could it be bought with only the gPS and no backup camera.
Can a backup camera be added to the touch screen?

We bought the 2008 170 popular from camping world. I drove to Fla and towed my Fusion back. We got 9.5mpg pulling it on 2 wheels. So far I found the masserator hose was bad, ordered a new one, the house battery needs replacing, the tires were <2 years old and almost no miles but have feathering on the inside, found the stablizer bar bushings were rotted off, replaced them, today I found the front end had never been aligned and was way out, the locking tabs were still on it. Should get it back tomorrow.
It had a Jensen Radio/Bluetooth/cd/backup camera 6.2" screen. It worked but he backup camera did not. I called the previous owner who said it worked when she sold it to Camping world. So I was playing with it and hit the demo button, then I could not get it out of demo, I reset it and still in demo. I put in a DVD and it came out but now I cant do anything with it, the touch panel doesnt work and I found there was supposed to be a remote with it but didnt find one. I do not think it had the Gps module installed. I used my phone on blue tooth through the radio for turn by turn navigation comming back.
Camping world gave me a $450 gift card, which will cover everything, but I have my own mechanic, so I have to use it for other things. If I cant get the radio to work I will propbly buy a Chinise one with gps. Under $200, If I can I might buy a 7" standalone Gps with lifetime maps and attach it with a lift over the radio screen.
All in all Im satisfied. I paid $42k for it, it was listed at $55995

That is the reason I got my Roadtrek from my neighbor. He is 6'2" and the bed was 5'11" from side to side. I am 5'8" so no problem now. 5 years ago I was 5'11 1/2" and had a 48" waist. I lost 75#, 3 1/2", and still have the 48" waist.

Yes, I went thru the brochure just now.

So probably owner added, maybe using a local car audio shop.

Jot down the model number and look for paperwork relating to it and maybe the same shop can add a b/u for you.

The 170 pop is a cool easy to park model as it is short.

the drawback for us is I am over 6' and sleeping sideways wouldn;t cut it ( also the partner climb-over). after looking at one we went with a different layout from another manufacturer.

I could not find a thing on the site about it. I did not even see it as an option in 2008

lacking a 'real answer'...have you checked roadtrek's website for brochures/manuals for that model?

Roadtrek is great about providing literature for "legacy models".

you may find info there- or at least be able to discern which features are std and what options ( if any) are on the unit you check.
