Roadtrek paint job in Toronto area

I have a 2003 Roadtrek on the Chevy chassis that has suddenly begun a case of peeling paint. The paint is peeling off (leaving the primer) along the doors edges. I phoned a few paint repair places like Maaco, Carstar etc., but, their paint booths are too small to paint the 8'6" height of the Roadtrek. Has anybody in the Toronto area used a paint shop that they would recommend? My dealer suggested Galt Chrysler in Cambridge, but, I would prefer to deal with someone closer if possible (Mississauga). Thanks.
  • Don't worry if you have no issues now. I had peeling paint around the gas filler for about 3 years. Then the paint starting peeling off the driver and passenger window frames. This year the paint started peeling off big time around the side cargo doors. That was the catalyst for me to get the paint job since I plan on keeping it. I have to say the paint job cost a lot less than expected ($2,825 CAD). I got 3 quotes ranging from over $8,000 to about $3,000.
So, if you have no peeling now, you are probably good for a long time.
  • Scary... that paint issue...I have a 2003 popular 190 on Chevy.
For the moment it looks new..no trace of peeling..should I worry ?
  • I took go transit's suggestion and used MTB Transit Solutions (formerly known as Mississauga Truck and Bus) for my paint job. Very pleased with the quality of work and it turned out they are a very professional company. For those Roadtrek owners that have the Chevy chassis (mine was a 2003) you may be needing a paint job if you are around that vintage.

  • Haven't been past the dealership lately but Barry Cullen Chevrolet in Guelph used to do a bunch of Roadtrek's painting for them. ( only a 15 minute drive from the factory)
  • You aren't that far from the factory. Can they be any help to you? They sure must e able to match color.
  • Give MISSISSAUGA TRUCK AND BUS a call they do a fine job on hwy buses of all sizes and they are close to home. HERB
