RoadTrek small reefer

For those spending a long time in their RoadTrek with the small 3.6 foot refrigerator: how is that working out for you? Seems really small. Can you store a few days of frozen stuff along with all the necessary beer?
I'm considering the E-Trek and it looks like there is not an option for a bigger reefer.

I guess I didn't approach the question correctly. If you are buying an E trek new then you should get a hold of Sportsmobile and have them build you an E Trek with what you want in it.Sportsmobile has been building "E Treks " for years. There are 3 shops. Indiana, Austin Texas and Fresno Ca. There is a very informative video on You Tube about their competing model. It uses diesel cooking, heating and water heater. It has or can easily have solar.Austin and Indiana are a little more into custom than Fresno. They do a complete run down in this video.sprinter SMB.At 4:35 in the video it shows the 7 cubic foot fridge.

We can carry over a week's worth of food, both frozen, cold, and dry, in our RT. Just a matter of careful packing! ST

The dometic cf 18 is a bonafide freezer if turned up to the middle to high setting.the price is $350 delivered from adventure rv. On high it will make ice in no time.

stan909 has a good option. We use an Igloo 110v or 12v cooler which when loaded with frozen goodies lasts nearly a week.I pack in a few icepacks too. The small fridge that we also have is organized with the essentials ie milk, pickles, butter and so on in smallish containers to maximize space. We use the frozen stuff in the cooler first then the frozen stuff in fridge/freezer. We just spent 10 days at a RV Resort and only went to town to go shopping for grand-kids. So one can manage ok with planning.

Look on youtube for my dometic cool /freeze cf 18 review. We have a small (fridge only ) refer built into our van so I bought the cf-18 to use just as a freezer. Works great but added solar and batteries to keep it going.

I picked up a small frig at Home Depot. Put water bottles in freezer which keeps food cool while I am driving. Plug into electrical when I stop and the water bottles refreeze. I/we dont eat out and most of our food is fresh so it is pretty well packed when we are on the road.

After a few trips you learn how often you need to stop and restock, and how much you can carry in your frig. We don't mind eating out, so it's not a big deal for us. Our 3 way frig had more room then our current AC/DC frig. The freezer is a few inches smaller and we lost one door shelf. So it feels smaller then our 3 way.

When we owned our RoadTrek we carried an electrically powered cooler to supplement the refrigerator.

Small fridge with tiny freezer.

You can only fit so much......so either take less, shop more frequently, dine out and use ice chests.
