Rollover accident I-81 South PA/MD border

This was today at about 2:30 on I -81 South. Appears to be a Phaeton with New York plates. Possible entrapment.

The local ABC affiliate posted this on Facebook. Immediately the discussion turned ugly. Many people commenting that drivers of "rigs" this large with air brakes should have CDL licenses. Lots of comments to change the license law as it pertains to RV's. Of course none of the experts knew exactly what caused the accident.

It was raining and we had freezing rain that morning.It was warm enough so it was not frozen. Sad to see the damage to the coach but happy the people were not killed.

Do you really think that mess is a testament to structural integrity?? Really?? I would give credit to good karma on the survivors part, period. Pure junk, folded like the card board it was made out of.

I shared the article as one of the reasons I prefer my dw and dd to wear their seat belts.

Tow bar and car are still attached. Magnetic lights are still in place on the roof of the car. That's one hardy toad connection.

Terrible accident! Glad to hear that the owners are doing well. considering that it was a moving accident it held up pretty good and stayed in tact.

My heart goes out to these folks. The accident looks pretty awful; It must be a testament to the structure of the RV that the occupants suffered only "minor" injuries.

Then again, I imagine "minor" is in the eye of the beholder.

I guess they really don't hold up too well when they're upside down.

Doesn't look like a tire problem but I'm guessing the roads were pretty slick based on the weather.
I hope they only have minor injuries with a speedy recovery.
