I always use good Sam trip plan. I booked all my travel last year and this year and it works great. You can add in several search items, good Sam parks, private parks, and even pilot stations, you can sort by star rating etc.
think I tried Good Sam with not much success for "on Illinois River", but I will take another try. There is many in Illinois but would like to view the water, if at all possible. Like to stay within 5 hours from home, someday we will venture farther away

Depends on what you want. There's Spindler park in East Peoria. Very basic.

    Spindler Park

It's in a marina but has paved sites. It's been many years since I stayed there
this looks fine, I called and left a message, only 2 hours from Morris

  • I just followed via google earth, the river all the way down and found only two on the river, Illini and something else way down. I have been to Illini a few times and it's ok. Have to check on the other
  • Go to the Good Sam website and do a search for the area. Click on the 'Map View' for more clarity. I use this feature all the time to see exactly where parks are located.
