I just washed the TPO Roof on my 2006 Four Winds Hurricane 31D. I washed it with a mild soap and water. Should it look like this?

We repair all types of membrane roofs including TPO we always clean the membranes with Simple Green before we make the repairs. Try it if it will come off Simple Green should do it.

My owners manual recommends MURPHY Oil Soap for the TPO roof. Used it since new. Mine doesn't look like yours, but it has some stains.

You say it was from Tacoma, Wa., originally. Could be it was near some evergreen trees, or other type of trees that leak sap on the roof, causing the spots. If this is what it is, it will gradually go away with time, and not exposed to the sap source.

I did mine a few months back using Spic & Span, a van wash brush (Long handle version of a car wash brush) and a garden hose with a Mr. Clean microfilter rinse sprayer. (reduces water spotting)

When done.. Thing was what I call "Snow Blind White" it is 10 years old and looks .. new.

What kind of Spic & Span? I see it in the store but it is lemon scent or all these choices. Not supposed to use citrus or petroleum base.

Do you use liquid or powder?

I have TPO...thanks!

I use the powder. Either Amazon or Amish country ๐Ÿ™‚

Looks fine. Don't worry about the spots.

Thanks. I agree with the others. Just stained, as long as there are no visible holes, tears, or wear spots, it's ok. They stain and really nothing to do short of damaging it trying to get spots out.

Yep, they all do. Only thing that gets it off, altho only 4 awhile, is a VERY mild solution of bleach, BUT thats not recommended.
