Exactly, gutfelt. L'Andante is one fine RV, and she's totally spoiled us for any other. Once in a while, WLToo gets the new RV bug and we start the research, but I never see anything that comes close in terms of comfort, storage, and light (I don't do dark caves after spending so many years in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities).
And now, with her facelift, I'm really not interested in another RV. She was totally loaded when we got her, and many of those options are still options in today's coaches. We haven't added all that much over the years: Banks system, Sirius/XM radio, a Genturi, screen door grid, and a magazine holder in the toilet cubicle. She came with Allison transmission, two A/C, speakers all over the place, an exterior radio/CD player that still works perfectly, the largest 3-way Norcold that was available at the time (and still works perfectly), four walkie-talkies with built-in charger, a 3-way water heater, oversized engine cooling system, satellite dish we've never used, and a host of other little things that slip my mind right now.
That big block Chevy engine still purrs smoothly, the generator keeps us perfectly cool going down the road in super hot weather while just barely sipping fuel, and there's plenty of room for the cat's litter box and feeding station. We know her little quirks and how to deal with them.
If her age means some RV park doesn't want her to stop over, it's their loss. We can boondock.
And being paid for is definitely a bonus...
We even have a use for the recliner that was where the TV cabinet is now. It's in our library/office, getting a lot more use than it did in the RV.
