tigertrac swaybars on class A

hi. Just wanting opinions, if anyone has installed tigertrac swaybars on their class A's. was it worth the $$$$$? also, if you diy installed how long did it take? If you had shop installed, how many hours labor did they charge? thanks

I installed a Tiger trac on my old coach. It made a big difference. Don't forget to do the CHF, Cheap Handling Fix as well front and back. In fact, once you've done that, you might not even need the track bar.

denbie, before you install a trac bar you may want to check a few other things. 1. Tire pressure. If you are running on too much pressure your MH will handle poorly. Wiegh your MH and insure you are balanced with your stuff and then set your tire PSI according to Mfg specs. I run 90psi front and 85psi rear. Yours may be different. 2. Also the amount of water in your fresh water tank can effect the handling. I carry atleast 1/2 tank for the weight. 3. your shocks may be worn out if they are 2002 model year. I installed Koni shocks and it made a huge difference in all around handling and ride.

Since you asked about DIY, why not do a search online for home made trac bars for your chassis. You will find that the materials usually cost less than $100 and most home shops have the necessary equipment to make one. Here is one link: Trac Bars

Actually, what you are looking for is not a sway bar, but a track bar/panhard rod.

It attaches to the chassis on one side and the axle on the other side. Thus, it limits side to side movement between axle and chassis, but allows full up/down movement.

2002 Holiday Rambler 32 foot workhorse 22 rear end moving around. what they call "the tail wagging the dog" syndrome. Feels like it is so hard to control the rearend. I had shop look at it today. They had 2 different mechanics drive it and they said it felt "normal". I just moved from a class C to a A. It feels totally unsafe to me..lol.....so I am looking at this sway bar. They told me install time was approx. 8 hours. Everything I have seen online has said 2 to three hours. So I am wondering how much difference it has really made for the money and also others opinions on installation time. Thanks

I have put it on two Winnebago gas motorhomes (A). One a 30 ft and other 36 ft. I can't remember the cost of install as I had other things at the time. I think it made a significant difference in handling.
