Truck Stop RV Wash concerns

After spending a month on the California coast and starting home soon cross country I really need the Class A washed. However the manufacturer recommends gentle detergents since this unit has a full body paint job(like many of the new models that have come out recently).

Do any of you use the truck stops \ along the interstate to have your units washed? And, if so, are you happy with the results or recommend not using another alternative?

What should I expect to have to pay $$$ ???

Days before you are planning on leaving the campgrounds I'm sure if you ask around that you will find an adult or teenager that would like to make $25.00. I've done it several times and got a great job every time. You can't beat a hand wash.

I have used blue beacon and was happy the first time. Second time I noticed all kinds of things coming lose due to the guys getting way to close with the high pressure spray nozzle

I have used Blue Beacon. The only negative is the wait time, as the lines are long. I think I waited an hour once and I had to stay in the cab to keep moving forward. The price is right, though. I was charged $14.50 in El Paso and $25.50 in Barstow. No harm to my solar panels or anything else. El Paso did a more thorough job than Barstow.

Just returned from long, long extended motorhome vacation. Sorry to say never washed coach once due to rain, etc.,. But did clean windshield.

Took coach to Blue Beacon and got the "max" services, looks showroom new.

They have changed their (brushes) to a soft scrubber. No marks!! Total $62.00.

We have full body paint and have used Blue Beacon five times without any problems. If you want the toad washed, leave it hooked up and drive on in.

Blue Beacon offers RV washing. They are open 24 hrs. and have over 100 locations. You can look up there offerings on their website.

www.bluebeacon.com

I have a discount card through Prevost to use at Blue Beacon but haven't used them yet. I see on their site that they offer 'only soap and warm water washes' for motorhomes.

For your motorhome they are listing the wash at $38.50 without add-on's.

Good luck,
MM.

Don't know what route you are going home on but I use Little Sister's in Palm Desert. Haven't had any ill effects yet.
