I have a 04 Country Coach Intrigue with a Cummins ISL 8.9 Liter. I bought it in Virginia and drove it back to Colorado. I have been using it in the mountains this summer and have noticed it blows out black smoke when you first press the accel. I recently took a trip back to the midwest and noticed the smoke cleared up. I am thinking it is running rich at altitude so it smokes more here. Does a 04 have non-compensating for barometric pressure fuel injection? I am thinking my engine does not. So it would not compensate for altitude. Is there a way to adjust the fuel-air mixture?
