WOW! You all did an awesome job!
Could you please explain two things?
1) what is the name again for the counter top stuff you used....I love them!
2) After sand blasting the hardware, you used what to make them "brushed nickle"...I've been looking for products and haven't found anything!
The counter top stuff is called rustoleum countertop transformations -it and information about recoating the hardware is here

Thanks to everyone for the kind words- it's been a challenge (but a fun one)
We do have 3 new ABC extinguishers on board - one in the bedroom, one by the driver's seat, and a large (7lb) extinguisher by the front door.
As to the CO detectors- I replaced the ones that were in place with these, asked a fire inspector, and followed the directions... all told me to put it near the ceiling as the CO mixes with the air and this is how these detectors are engineered. There are detectors that plug in lower (that plug in the outlet) but the directions for this model specified up at ceiling height. The air is also more "open" up by the ceiling as the spaces lower down are quite cluttered with the slide/seats etc. I'm happy to hear any opposing views though and do honestly appreciate the concern.
Thanks again for the kind words about the refurb- next up, time to work on the outside a bit (though not much... a clean, zep, and some small work such as touch up paint, cleaning out the AC units, new windshield wipers etc)
