VIN Number Location

Does anyone know where the VIN number is located on a 1996 Damon Intruder Class A motorhome? Ive checked everywhere on the exterior, in the glovebox, on the doorframe and all around the drivers seat inside the vehicle, all to no avail. I moved and my new state will not let me register it or even transfer the title without doing a VIN check first.  Any help would greatly appreciated. I've taken my rv to the dmv and the police station trying to get help and no one has been able to find the dang VIN. So frustrating. You'd think with how many recreational vehicles that are being sold nowadays that there would be some type of industry standard on where manufacturers are required to post VINS etc  because there seems to be very little info online to help consumers who might be struggling with this same issue that I am. I've even called 2 of the local rv dealers in my area and they couldn't tell me where it might be located either.
