We finally bought our motorhome!
Our house finally sold in September, and after 4 years of researching, looking online and at dealerships (window shopping) we could finally look with the idea of buying!:B It took 2 months, but we finally found our new home (we will be full-timers).
It is a 2004 Newmar Kountry Star, 39' diesel pusher, dual pane windows, oak interior, new flooring, looks immaculate inside, a few scratches on the outside drivers side. Roof is in the best condition of any we looked at - and we looked at quite a few!;) Ran the best too!
But it is sitting at a dealership 550kms (350 miles) away as we have to go back with someone to drive our car back. :( And it is now snowy and the highways are icy, too, so we will be waiting till the highways are clear.
But my hubby has decided to take advantage of this opportunity to get a full service and new tires in Medicine Hat, while it is sitting there anyway,:) since we would want to do that once we have it home. It was sitting for sale for over a year, so fresh fluids will be a good thing, and the tires are checked even though they still have tread, so we won't trust them anyway. It ran well, though, and so did the genset, and we tried all the propane appliances, and they all started.
