Over the past few days, I've done a little preventative maintenance and some things on my to-do list.
1. Like almost all RT's, my vehicle battery would rind down after sitting for little more than a week. I still have the original battery in a 2008 vehicle so I pulled it and took it to have it checked...it tested OK (NICE, saves $100). I added a battery disconnect while I was reinstalling it so I hope I've reduced the possibility of dead battery.
2. Replaced a circuit breaker that is located to the underside of the RT. The old one was corroded so I thought changing it in a nice warm garage was better than taking a chance that it might spoil a camping trip.
3. Later today, I want to replace the directional ring on my crank-up antennae.
4. I have two more items that I might work on before spring. One is a small scrap under the driver side outside storage. That's an easy fix. The other is a bit more work but the sliders on my house battery boxes are quite rusty (especially the rear ones) so I'm serious thinking of replacing them with stainless steel slides.
