I see the other types of RV's having this type of thread. I did a search and could not find one here. 🙂

Yesterday, I drove mine to work to "excercise" it. I have driven it to work twice in the two weeks I have owned it.

In the two years I owned my Class C, I drove it to work ZERO times. :E

Well ... what did I do to the ERA today?? I packed here up and got her ready to head out on a two week winter adventure. Filled the propane tanks to the brim (all 16 gallons) to make sure I have plenty of propane for the furnace. Tires checked and air pressure adjusted. Also had to fix one the the valve extensions that was leaking slightly ... in -14º C weather. That was fun!!!

Clothes packed ... lots of blankets and comforters for the bed. Also a ceramic heater for those times when I can plug in at friend's places. Food, water (bottle and 5 gallon jug). Cameras ... should just about do it.

I am heading out to Northern Ontario to visit friends and do some exploring in the area. Can't let the RV sit around getting bored and tired during the winter, so off I go.

Bought a Coleman Black Cat Perfect temp catalitic heater and tested it last night in my driveway. Wife thinks I'm nuts but it got down to the low 30 s so it made for a good test. I slept very well up in the canvas penthouse. I bought the Coleman because my Little Buddy heater was too hot on low setting of 3,000 btu' s. The Coleman has 2 settings 1,500 and 3,000. I used the low setting and it worked very well after I closed my new drapes I made last week for the cab. I will have to take some pics of my drape system. I use hooks to the sun visors because the wife forbade any screwing into the ceiling for tracks.

I keep my 06 PW Sprinter Plateau charged up and ready to go. This week, I loaded our Coton de Tulear(Miss RV Princess of Madagascar) into her pooch console and took a leasurely cruise up Vancouver Island to the town of Chemainus, a tourist mecca for Island visitors from 'the World'. I keep the tank as full as possible, speculating that diesel prices could be worse and prabably will be any time soon.

I drove mine to the dealer to fix the last of my little nagging warranty problems. Time has run out. We went over 36,000 miles. Now we are on our own. Next, I need to take it to a Freightliner service for its regular maintenance. I am mulling over getting new tires already. The OEM Continental Vancofourseason tires only have a 40,000 mile warranty and the tread wear bears that out. Hopefully we'll get underway and head south by about March 1. Problem is the forecast says our weather will stay freezing and my water system has all that pink anti-freeze. On top of that we have another big snowstorm coming in. 😞

Dug it out from the snow, drove it around, filled it with gas and started getting it ready for a weekend in New Hampshire...

I looked at it and thought to myself that I need to clean the inside. Never got to it today though. 🙂

The weather in PA was unseasonably warm today so I loaded my bike on the back of the Road Trek and took it for a nice drive to the local "Rails to Trails" bike trail. I got my exercise as well as the RT. Usually the only piece of equipment that gets exercise in Dec. in PA is my snow plow and snow shovel.

Last Saturday, I took it on an 80 mile round trip to dinner (Joe's Crab Shack). It seems like I put more miles on it during the fall and winter then the Spring and Summer. :S

I usually camp close to home.

To accurately answer the question: "What DId You DO To Your Class B Today"--our answer (and those of others),is not really what we DID TO IT but sctually how, in our case, we USED ours, like many people do, to transport, for example, 150 Shoeboxes together with all the goodies to fill them.WE had 8 large cartons with boxes and all the stuff for under-privileged kids overseas or here(Operation Christmas Child). With these B MHs it is nice to be able to flatten out the couch and load everything inside. It sure saved a lot of time trying to move all that stuff in our Bimmer. Kind of nice to use it as a second vehicle but also one that makes our daily lives easier and is flexible in it's potential useage.

Evacuated my house as Hurricane Sandy tidal surge flooded my garage and local roads. Trailered my boat with the Roadtrek also. Wife and I and dog spent night at local shopping center parking lot along with many cars and campers.

Am concerned for MD, DE, NJ, NY and others up the coast that will get hit worse.

Here in upstate NY we are bracing for "Sandy". I filled the propane tank Saturday and parked the "B" near the house. I am ready to run the ONAN if power goes out. I am hoping to keep the frig and a few lights going if necessary in the house. It's an Onan 2500. Will it run a few appliances? I'm guessing it should! If not we can stay in the van and watch the news.

We carefully took only the items we think we need from our 5er and packed them in the new / used RT210. Removed the 3rd seat for now. Have a number of small storage spots left but need to find a place for the cat litter box eventually. Parked it in my driveway (violation of our deed restrictions). No shore power connection yet, could not run the generator, so we survived on battery. Propane furnace kept us very comfortable; it was in the low 40’s (cold for us). Much more to do… Had a great time for our first night.
