This is always a fun thread to watch in other forums, so I thought I'd start one here.

Not today, but recently I took it out on the road to run the engine a bit and ran the generator with an electric heater on to put a load on the generator -- just to keep the gen in shape and keep the batteries all up to snuff.

It handles like a dream.. However our roads are narrow and have 1 foot or so of gravel and often 40 to 50 foot drops. So not moving around much while getting hit by gust or when coming out from behind cut is a big deal.. Out on the highway in normal winds its almost hands free and trucks bother it little. But if a problem comes up its next on the list.

Got the rear sway bar installed. Now have front and rear swaybars. Took it out for a drive in our common Shasta Valley breeze (35mph gusting to 45-50mph as those that have driven I-5 around Weed know) It handled much better. I was able to handle the back roads at 50+ and stay on my side of the road.. Yaaa..

Did not get it covered yesterday. No way I was going to try to cover it in those winds. Perhaps today or it will stay uncovered for the Snow coming this next week.

I decided better to be safe than sorry and went and winterized the MH again. They were calling for temps below freezing last night and tonight so I figured why not. We took it on a day trip two weeks ago when it hit 70 and I was hoping that we were done with freezing temps.

I forgot to relieve the pressure on the hot water heater and got blasted with water. Jeans, jacket and sneakers got totally soaked. That's what happens when rushing.

Ya, but thats about 650 miles south of us and much lower. Been dry for a couple weeks and we got a lot done. We are in a high desert valley so cold nights and warmish days are the norm. But most of our snow comes in Feb-April. Always large wet flakes that build up fast and never stay to long.

Got my rear sway bar yesterday. Hope to install it today and put the cover back on the motorhome as we are going to have a few weeks of rain and snow.

14 degrees yesterday morning but in the mid 40's by noon.. Ground is still warm enough to lay on so pulled the rear cover on the rearend and cleaned it up. Really could have just pulled the plug to drain it but really wanted to look inside as there was a small leak on the rear cover.. Looked great inside. Leak was crack in gasket.Looked like it came from the factory that way. Upgraded the old GL-4 oil to GL-5. Looks like winter will be back in a couple days.

Gooped, gooped and gooped. At least the water isn't running out any more; I can only presume that water isn't running in.

And now if it'll ever stop raining I can get another coat of POR-15 on the steps. At least it's 75F+ when it's raining. :B

We FINALLY got it registered and licensed! It took FOREVER to get the title from Illinois, so we had to drive it downtown to the tag office today. It's the furthest I've ridden in it since my husband brought it back from Chicago last month. We loaded a few more things in it and I had my hubby spray the electric steps with WD40 as they were starting to shudder and make a noise. Worked like a charm. Only a few more weeks until our first shakedown trip! Can't wait!

Our weather was in the 60's yesterday afternoon. So I got out and covered the back part of the front wheel wells on our 2000 chevy. There was an area at the rear of the wheel well that was open but our running board supports were there. So took an older mudflat and cut it down and screwed it to the running board supports. Now the water, ect from the front wheels will not soak the electric steps and Generator so much.. Easy job, with no cost. I took the old mudflap and 8 small bolts, washers, and nuts that I got from the used bolt box I hang on to.. One more job off the list..

well, not exactly today...

on friday i drove the rv to work (55 miles round trip). ran the genny both ways with a 1500 watt heater strapped under the dinette table for a load. filled her with gas (ouch!).

and yesterday i went to a "yard sale" at a storage unit. i bought a small tool box with some junk in it. down at the bottom of the junk i found two brand new marshall brass water pressure regulaters and a 15-30 amp adapter! i already have the shore power adapter, but now i dont have to buy the pressure regulator. ๐Ÿ™‚
