Thanks for reminding me. When I got home and reread the letter from Michelin and they state that the mounting and balancing is free. I called the tire shop and they are crediting my card back for the charge. :B

Thanks to the Michelin recall of the M/S tires it came with our C got new shoes today. Six brand dandy new Michelin M/S 2's installed on Michelin's dime. Nice to get $1500 worth of tires and only paid $103 for the mount/balance.

The best news was not the free set of tires.... since day one we have been chasing an annoying rattle that seemed to come and go (mostly come). We rearranged lockers, loaded and reloaded but it kept coming back. The folks at Nexus suggested that sometimes a loose wheel cover can cause that type of rattle. Well that must have been it because once I drove out of the tire shop it was gone! Not only are the new tires much smoother but my tire guys must have managed to properly seat one or more of the wheel covers and presto, like magic it has disappeared! Took my bride for a demo ride and she could not believe the difference in the ride, handling and the new found quiet.

Was having such a good day I headed on down to the new Tucson Camping World, a very nice, brand new facility by the way, and ordered the Turbo Max 3550 power roof vent to go over the rear vent (right over the foot of our bed), and a Max Air cover for the forward vent. They will be installed next monday morning. Out the door with a 10% coupon and a nice discount on the labor under $300.... installed! :B

It's been clear and no bad weather to speak of since we picked it up last week. Tonight we are suppose to get hit with 8-12 inches of snow so my wife and I put the cover over it for the rest of the winter. Now there's a big brown box sitting out next to the garage.

Hi,

Purchased a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter, so that I can power mac laptops safely. It will come in handy if I go for a 120 volt electric blanket. I don't intend to run more than about 300 watts.

Of course, when they say 1000--they really mean 900. GRRRR!

Ran the generator in preparation for the snow and just in case the electricity goes out. Sure doesn't like the cold, couldn't hold a idle or high speed continuous. Initially ran one 1500w on high but grabbed another 1500w to really blow the soot out of it. Seemed to helped.. think I'll grab some MMO and put in tank before I run it again.

It warmed up to above freezing this afternoon so I ran the generator, with a 12A load, for about a half hour. Long enough to recharge the battery.

Glad to see the price coming down in the US. Looks like you got a pretty good price. Hope the shipping cost didn't spoil it.

Finally picked up my one and drove it home 160 miles yesterday. Now it will be parked in the driveway for two or three months waiting for Spring. That will give me plenty of time to play around with everything.

1) Put in an old-fashioned rubber sink stopper on a chain in the bathroom sink.... Our sink drains to the black, and bad things happen when the water eventually splashes out of the P-trap, and negative pressure in the coach starts drawing air up the sink drain...

2) ran an extension cord from the inverter located over our sink, thru the cabinet, over the entry door, and secured the back wall of the cab, ending at a power strip located between the front seats of the drivers compartment... No more 12V octopi needed for simultaneous charging the iPhone, Blackberry, iPad or GPS!...

Hi Desert Captain,

120 volt shore power, or generator, or inverter/battery bank/alternator. Currently it is -25 c (-13 f) heading for -29 c (-21 f). Floors are warm!
