Delayed returning the RV to storage by a day. No reason to drive in the ice and snow.

Removed the cover, changed oil and filter, Checked it over and took it for a 75 mile ride around the Shasta valley. Getting it ready for a trip the end of the month if the weather holds.

Last summer I removed all carpet bumper to bumper including removing drivers and passenger seats. All was well but the Mrs didn't like my adhesive floor tile job. SO,,,, Off came the tile and I now as of last week have "Costco" laminate wood floors. Now she is a happy camper. Next job I could use some advise and or warnings. Our is 1999 29' TIOGA WITH An entertainment center in the nose. It is just a huge empty space used very little. I could better use the space for grandkids. Question??? If I disconnect the front TV and put it in the bedroom ((there is already a connection)) will the antenna still work? How about the " booster" ? I am dumping the VCR and hooking up a Blue ray presents no problem. Have any of you attempted this?

In my Class C the booster is in the antenna and is powered thru the distribution box. The antenna is wired to both TV outlets. I have no idea if your is the same or not, but I suspect it is.

Plugged in the block heater overnight so I can move it back to storage for about 2 weeks.

Got $70 worth of parts. Got a 25 foot 30amp cord I'm going to make into a extension cord. Dicor 551 for the sidewalls. 2 switches I need to add in a few places. Also got a state map... have enough to do for a while. Colelaw is a pretty good place to buy parts. The prices for most were comparable to online some were not though so doing your homework helps. I'll go back at least once this year.

Added a small eye bolt to underside of MH just behind coach door to connect dog tie-out too. I liked how Thor had included something similar on their new Ace class A's so adapted idea. Now, I have a piece of short rope with snap hooks on each end. I can snap one to dog harness and one to the eye bolt. No more tying off to picnic table leg, latern pole, etc. We only use when we are outside with her...we don't leave her outside at campground alone.

Before last weekends trip I topped up the house batteries, was a little embarrassed at how long I had put that little chore off. They took a good long drink and the hydrometer shows all of the cells in the green with equal readings. I like to run the genny for 45 minutes to an hour before leaving with the frig/freezer, converter and water heater putting out a nice heavy load.

I only had to add 25 gallons to top up the fuel tank as the last trip was just 240 miles. Regular was $3.17 but we get 5% back on gas purchase with our Visa so ended up paying about $3 a gallon. The propane tank took about 8 gallons to top up, the 35K BTU furnace keeps us toasty but can really suck down the LP. The coach is loaded with food, fuel and firewood and all I left to do is pack my bag before the football starts. We will be headed to Quartzite (250 miles), first thing in the morning. After Q we'll probably head up to Parker for a couple of days on the river and then back through Apache junction and home. Temps are suppose to be in the mid to upper 70's, we sure love Arizona winters. :B

Hi! I am actually headed to Tucson this Tuesday for a week. Staying at Lazydays on Irvington...bought my Born Free there and they are having a rally. Disappointed to hear that KOA took over the campground...gone is security, etc. Will be anxious to see the differences...looking for good. Hoping for warm weather!

High winds are causing an annoying whistle. It is warm in the rv--but the wind gives me the shivers. My car is snowed in, so I won't be going anywhere today.

I'm maintaining 20 c (68 f) inside and using about 4000 watts of electric heat to do so. It is currently -11 c (12 f) (Forecast was for +2 (35f) but some how I don't think that is going to happen. (2004 02 16)

Hi,

Replaced the 60 watt fridge freeze protection bulb--the last one burned out in under 24 hours.

Decided to upgrade our surge protector from the 30 amp portable (Progressive Industries), to their 30 amp PT30C EMS. The old SG saved us from bad pedestals three times but can't protect from a drop in voltage like an EMS can. With tax and no freight it was $270 from Amazon. I also have an analog voltage meter that plugs into any available outlet for real time reading of what we are getting be it from the pedestal or the generator. :C
